TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 9:10-15

INTRO:

In the Scripture, there are two kinds of giving: Giving to God and giving to the Government. Giving to God which is always voluntary and giving to the government which is always involuntarily.

Apostle spent two chapters in his second epistle to the Corinthians explaining to them “the grace of giving”

In our text Paul tells us the Resource, the Reason and the Result of our generous giving.

  1. THE REWARD OF GIVING. (2 COR. 9:10)

II.         THE REASON FOR GIVING. (2 COR 9:11)
To be generous on every occasion

  1. THE RESULT OF GIVING. (2 COR 9:12-14)

                                                                           i.      The needs of God’s people will be supplied. (2 Cor. 9:12)

ii.      They will give thanks to God. (2 cor. 9:12b)

iii.      They will praise God. (2 Cor. 9:13a)

iv.      They will obey God. (2 Cor. 9:13b)

                                                                         v.      They will draw near to God. (2 Cor. 9:!4)

  1. THE RESOURCE OF GIVING. (2 Cor. 9:!5)

Giving is a gift from God. ( Rom. 12:8)

Amitai, from Gath Hepher

TEXT: EPHESIANS 3:14-21
INTRO:
In our text we can as always see that Paul’s concern for the believers is their spiritual growth. Here in his prayer for them, He wants them:

III. TO EXPERIENCE THE LOVE OF CHRIST. (EPHES 3:18-19)
A. He wants them to be rooted in Christ’ love.
B. He wants them to be established in Christ’s love.
C. He wants them to grasped the dimension of Christ’s love.

IV. TO GIVE GLORY TO GOD THROUGH CHRIST. (EPHES. 3:20-21)

TEXT: EPHESIANS 4:11-16
INTRO:
It is God’s plan for the last two groups of gifted men the evangelists and pastors – to equip, build- up and develop His church by the general operational procedure set forth in our text. In our text we had shown the progression, the purpose and the power of God’s divine pattern for the building and function of His church. Jesus said “I will build my church” so he as the detailed divine plan for his church.

I. THE PROGRESSION OF GOD’S PLAN IN BUILDING HIS CHURCH.
( EPHES 4:13)
A. He gifted Them
B. He Prepares them
C. For service
D. To build His church

II. THE PURPOSE OF GOD’S PLAN IN BUILDING HIS CHURCH.
(EPHES. 4:13)
A. Unity of the faith “ until we all reach unity in the faith”
(EPHES. 4:13a)
B. Knowledge of Christ. (Ephes. 4:13b)
C. Spiritual Maturity. (Ephes. 4:13c)

III. THE PRODUCT OF GOD’S PLAN IN BUILDING HIS CHURCH
(EPHES. 4:14-16)
A. Sound Doctrine. (Ephes. 4:14)
B. Authentic Loving Testimony. (Ephes. 4:!5)

IV. THE POWER FOR GOD’S PLAN IN BUILDING HIS CHURCH.
(EPHES. 4:16)

TEXT: LUKE 5:1-11
INTRO:
Right after the baptism and temptation of Jesus Christ, He immediately began His ministry and He started it in Galilee. When He began performing some miracles lot of people followed Him. In our text CHRIST is calling His first disciples:

I. TO OBEY HIM. (LUKE 5:4-7)
II. TO WORSHIP HIM (LUKE 5:8-9)
III. TO SERVE HIM (LUKE 5:10-11)

TEXT: 2 TIMOTHY 2:14-19

INTRO:

Paul is telling Timothy to remind the believers in Ephesus of their being workers of God:

I.                   TO BE DILIGENT. (2 Timothy 2:15)

II.                TO BE AWARE OF FALSE TEACHERS. (2 Timothy 2:16-18)

III.             TO BE HOLY/GODLY/RIGHTEOUS. (2 Timothy 2:19)

TEXT: 2 TIMOTHY 2:1-7

INTRO:

In our text, Paul presents four key elements of a strong, mature, obedient spiritual life using the vivid analogies:

I.                   THE TEACHER. (2 Timothy 2:2)  Entrust”

The first metaphor is that of a teacher teaching a teacher, who in turn, teaches other teachers, who then teach still other teachers.

II.                THE SOLDIER. (2 Timothy 2:3-4) “Endure hardship”

Paul not only calls Timothy to serve the Lord as a soldier but as a good solider of Jesus Christ. A spiritual Christian does not simply do minimum duty for his Lord, but serves Him with everything he is and has.

III.             THE ATHLETE. (2 Timothy 2:5) “Competes accdg to the rules”

The third figure Paul uses to illustrate characteristics of a strong spiritual life is that of an athlete. The phrase competes as an athlete translate the verb athleo which means to contest, wrestle, struggle. The idea is that of a struggle that requires great determination to win.

IV.              THE FARMER. (2 Timothy 2:6) “Hardworking”

The hard working farmer starts his hard and demanding work early and go home late..

CONCLUSION: (2 Timothly 2:7) (1 Corinthian 15:58)

TEXT: HEBREWS 4:14-16

INTRO:

This morning we are going to consider the book of Hebrews which tell us the

Superiority of  Christ and I believe that’s the reason why the writer did not even mentioned his name.

There are three things that make Jesus our great High Priest.

I.                   HIS PERFECT PRIESTHOOD. (HEBREWS 4:14)

II.                HIS PERFECT PERSON. (HEBREWS 4:15)

III.             HIS PERFECT PROVISION. (HEBREWS 4:16)
